UOW Partnership

Scots College and the University of Wollongong and its UOW Tottenham Hotspur Global Football Program have signed a memorandum of understanding, offering an additional pathway opportunity for all footballers through our partnership.

This memorandum offers an additional pathway and support for students wishing to follow their football dreams while studying. In particular this is a great opportunity for students who are interested in continuing their football at all levels, with access to professional standard coaching alongside their tertiary study at one of the world’s best universities*. This is a unique opportunity in Australasia and is backed by one of the world’s top football brands.

We are also pleased to announce that planning is underway for a football tour to Australia next year that would see a senior and junior squad visit the UOW and be based at the programme for a period.

Early in September 2022 the UOW hosted a webinar for the Scots College community. A recording of this webinar is available to view below. The webinar covered:

• An introduction to the Global Football Program
• A short presentation by the coaches to talk about the Spurs philosophy for developing players
• Information on balancing training and academic programmes
• A Q&A opportunity with the Program Manager, Spurs Coaches and a member of the UOW Student Services
