Scots Collegians Reunion 2026

Friday 15 May – Saturday 16 May 2026

Join us for a memorable weekend of connection, celebration, and nostalgia as we welcome Collegians back to Scots College. Enjoy time with old friends, meet current students, and experience the school as it is today.

Friday 15 May 2026

6pm Onwards at Harbourside Function Venue
Ease into the weekend with relaxed drinks and nibbles at the Harbourside Function Venue, 4 Taranaki Street, from 6pm. Reconnect with classmates, share stories, and start the celebrations in a beautiful setting.

Saturday 16 May 2026

10am–11am at Scots College
Begin the day with morning tea and a warm welcome, and enjoy an inspiring keynote address from Sir Ashley Bloomfield (1977–1983).

11:15am–12:30pm at Scots College
Explore the campus through guided tours led by our Senior Students. See what has changed, what has stayed the same, and how the school continues to grow.

6pm–10pm at Scots College
Return to the campus for a special evening of celebrations at the reunion dinner. The programme includes:

  • A welcome from the Headmaster
  • Our keynote speaker, John Aitken (1983–1987)
  • Performances showcasing the talent of today’s students
  • A shared dinner with fellow Collegians and staff

A fitting finale to a weekend of memories, connection, and community!

Meet The Reunion Guest Speakers

Sir Ashley Bloomfield (1977–1983)
Sir Ashley Bloomfield has 25 years of experience in public health, policy, and health leadership, including at the WHO in Geneva. He was New Zealand’s Director-General of Health from June 2018 to July 2022 and led the country’s health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was appointed a Knights Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (KNZM) in the 2023 New Year Honours for services to public health. Sir Ashley is now a Professor at the University of Auckland's School of Population Health and Chief Executive at Environmental Science and Research (ESR).

John Aiken (1983–1987)
John attended Scots College from 1983–1987, and was made Sports Captain and a Prefect in his final year. From there, he enjoyed success in the sporting arena, playing ten years of first class cricket representing Wellington, Auckland and NZ "A.” During this time, he also trained at Victoria University in Wellington, graduated in 1995, and began specialising in the field of relationships, working for 30 years giving out practical advice to singles and couples. 

In terms of media, John has worked extensively both in NZ and Australia, and is most notably known as one of the relationship experts on the hit reality series Married At First Sight Australia (MAFS). This has been the number one show in Australia for the past eight seasons, where it has been known to regularly get over two million viewers per night, and is now broadcast into over 120 countries. Additionally, he features regularly on radio, is the dating and relationship expert for 9Honey online, and hosts the official Married At First Sight Australia podcast. John is a best selling author, runs exclusive relationship retreats, and is a sought after speaker.
