Tottenham Hotspur Global Player Development Programme (Scots Football Academy)

Tottenham Hotspur’s Global Development programme’s NZ branch is based at Scots College. This partnership provides an incredible opportunity with access to Tottenham Hotspur’s global football development team working alongside the College’s own football coaches, using renowned methods taken directly from the Tottenham Hotspur Academy to maximise the potential of young players.

The Tottenham Hotspur’s Global Player Development Programme will combine with the Scots College Football Academy for 2023.

There are two programmes running during 2023:

Tottenham Hotspur Global Football Development Coach

Donny Campaniello

Donny has been with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club for eight years, focusing on player development programmes for both the Academy and Global Football Development. Throughout these eight years, Donny has led the club’s regional development centres and operated as a Club scout throughout Hertfordshire, Essex and North London focusing on pre-Academy through to the top end of the Foundation phase. Currently awaiting sign off on his UEFA B qualification, Donny also coaches across the club’s elite school partnerships and is responsible for player development and coach education within this setting. Donny has recently spent 3-months in Australia working with our Football Development partner, Nudgee College, overseeing the growth of the Junior Football Programme and it’s coaches within the school. In addition to his work at Tottenham Hotspur, Donny works closely with a number of local youth football clubs supporting the development of their football programmes and their day to day football administration.

“The Tottenham Hotspur Global Player Development Programme based at Scots College is a great development programme that has helped me to train at a higher level. It allowed me to have more confidence in myself. This has helped me improve my performance during this football season. As an attacker I have learnt different ways to beat an opponent using skills like the Ronaldo chop or the Zidane turn. I have enjoyed playing and training with my older peers and this has helped me settle in well in the Scots College environment.”  – Nashe, Junior Squad 2021.
