Graeme Yule is the Headmaster of Scots College, having been appointed in 2007.  He responsible to the Board of Governors for all aspects of College operations. In this position, he has implemented the College’s Future Focussed Learning Strategy, three International Baccalaureate programs, overseen the College’s move to become fully co-educational and achieved Scots College’s status as an IB World School.

Graeme was previously a Board member of the Independent Schools of New Zealand (ISNZ). He has been influential in the establishment of the IB Schools NZ Group, national IB Awards ceremony and Presbyterian Schools Support Office, and was previously a member of the Secondary Teacher Education Program Advisory Committee. Currently Graeme is a Board member of School Sport NZ. Graeme has also held a number of governance roles as a Director of the St Pauls’ Collegiate Trading company with oversight of both strategic and operational components for running a successful school retail service, the Treasurer of the Taranaki Cricket Association and has previously been a Chair of a School Board of Trustees.

Throughout his career Graeme has been involved in Boarding and has held roles as a Boarding Manager. Earlier in his career, Graeme was Deputy Headmaster at St Paul’s Collegiate School and held middle management roles at Palmerston North Boys’ High School and New Plymouth Boys’ High School; in teaching, Housemaster and Dean positions.
