Future Focussed Learning
A Future Focussed Education in the Senior School
In the future students will face increasing globalisation and careers greatly affected by technological change. Scots Senior School has a particular focus and has recently made changes to further improve student results; better preparing them for life after school.
Our unique Year 11 programme, launched in 2019, better prepares students for Years 12, 13 and their futures by focusing on rich learning and developing skills critical for the future work place.
The Senior School changed to become co-educational in 2020 providing an environment that provides students with a quality education in a diverse and inclusive environment.
As part of enhancing the educational experience at Scots a new block was developed, named the McKinnon Block. This building houses flexible learning environments that lend themselves to collaborative and individual study and teaching. It includes new science and technology facilities, a fabrication lab and pastoral care areas for the girls.
