We’re Bharthi Kannan and Alyssa Patel, Year 13 students from St Oran’s College, and we’re thrilled to introduce FutureVoices. This exciting new initiative gives young people the platform to be heard, valued, and celebrated.

Our 2025 theme is "Redefine Tomorrow",  a bold invitation to challenge the present and imagine a better future. We’re looking for confident, passionate speakers from schools across the region who can think on their feet, speak from the heart, and inspire change.

This is more than just a speaking opportunity, it’s a chance to be part of something bigger, to share your voice with a wider audience, and to help shape the future.

Important Dates:

  • The event will take place on Friday 13th June

If you’re keen to step up and speak out, check out the application form on our St Oran's College website or contact [email protected]

Let’s redefine tomorrow, together.

PAPARANGI TED-X

My name is Aahna Suri, and I am a member of the TEDxYouthPaparangi Communications Committee this year. We are excited to announce that our event will be held on Friday, September 5th at Newlands College!

TEDxYouthPaparangi is an independently organised event licensed by TED themselves, aiming to amplify the voices of young people in our community. We seek passionate and driven individuals from local schools who are interested in speaking at our event.

This year's theme is “The Power of Now”, which is about harnessing the energy of today to shape a better tomorrow. We believe that your school has some very passionate individuals who have unique stories and ideas worth expressing.

We would be grateful if you could extend this opportunity to your students and encourage those who are interested in being a part of our event. Interested students can email our communications committee or visit our Instagram page for more information.
