Junior: Phuket Youth Cup Tournament

The Phuket Youth Cup is an U13 and U15 tournament based at Phuket’s Thanyapura Sports Leisure and Club in December. Teams from all over Asia and Australia are represented at this event.

Biennially the Football Club takes a team to compete in the Phuket Youth Cup. Participating in this competition allows the U15 touring squad to develop their skills in an international setting. Attending this event is one way for players to be identified for future involvement in U.S. football identification tours through Scots College’s global football network.

Exchanges

Senior: Northfield Mount Hermon School Exchange

The Football club offers a regular term-long exchange to Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, USA for Year 12 Scots Football Club players. This exchange is an opportunity for a player considering a US Scholarship for their football future to experience the playing level in New England and exposure to University Football coaches. The exchange also allows students to study at this prestigious high school and experience American culture.

“I’ve been looking at the possibility of getting a US Scholarship for a few years and this exchange to Northfield Mount Hermon, a prestigious co-ed high school situated near Boston in Massachusetts gave me an excellent opportunity to experience first-hand, American culture and the standard of football played. Before going I had to ensure I had enough academic results to pass NCEA Level 2 and Mr Zachariassen and Mr West were a great support in helping me to achieve this.
