Application Process

Thank you for considering Scots College for your child. We welcome applications at any time and our enrolment team are here to help you through the enrolment process. To ensure a personalised education for each child we do limit class sizes and encourage you to begin the enrolment process early to have the best chance of securing a place for your child.

In the Middle School (Years 7-10) we are implementing a new enrolment process. All 2023 Middle School enrolment applications must be received no later than 5pm Friday 8 April 2022 to be officially considered for the 2023 intake. Any application for enrolments received after this date will be immediately placed on to the ‘2023 Middle School Wait Pool’. Students who have already completed an application for enrolment for 2023 onwards do not need to resubmit. Please read more on the 2023 Middle School enrolment process here.

This above Middle School application date does not apply to any Junior or Senior School enrolment for applications. Students who are already attending the College are guaranteed a place in the following Year Level.

Step 1

Application for Enrolment

Completing an Application for Enrolment is the first step towards enrolling your child at Scots College. It is a simple online process and the College welcomes all applications.

Completing an Application for Enrolment form does not constitute acceptance as all students must first be interviewed by the Headmaster or a Principal.

All 2023 Middle School enrolment applications must be received no later than 5pm Friday 8 April 2022 to be officially considered for the 2023 intake. This date does not apply to any Junior or Senior School applications for enrolment.

Apply online here. Please note this is a domestic application form.

International applications can be found here

Step 2

Interview

After you have completed the Application for Enrolment, we will be in contact to arrange an interview with the relevant Year Level Principal in the year preceding entry to the College. This interview is an integral part of the application process.

Step 3

Offer of Place

At the conclusion of your child’s interview an offer of place may be made and your acceptance will be required within a specified timeframe. To confirm enrolment, you will need to complete a Confirmation of Acceptance package which will be emailed to you and make the required payment.

Step 4

Acceptance

Once you have completed the Confirmation of Acceptance agreement and made payment of the relevant fees your child’s place at the College will be deemed confirmed.

Enrolments for 2022 and beyond

Class size limits are in place at certain Year Levels to ensure the delivery of a personalised education. There are still limited spaces available in the Junior (Years 1-6) and Senior (Years 11-13) Schools and we continue to welcome enrolments across both the Junior and Senior Schools for 2022 and onwards.

Middle School (Years 7-10) Enrolments
This year, 2021, has seen a significant rise in enquiries and enrolments for the College, in particular across Years 7 to 10 and we have reached our maximum class sizes at all Middle School Year Levels for 2022. In response to this we have undertaken a review of the enrolment process in the Middle School and are implementing a new enrolment process for all enrolments across Years 7 to 10 for 2023 onwards. All 2023 Middle School enrolment applications must be received no later than 5pm Friday 8 April 2022 to be officially considered for the 2023 intake.

If you have already completed a Middle School enrolment application for 2023 you do not need to re-submit. Any enrolment applications received after this date will be immediately placed on to the ‘2023 Middle School Wait Pool’.  Please read more on the 2023 Middle School enrolment process here.

Students who are already attending the College are guaranteed a place in the following Year Level. For students coming through the Junior School, there is no need to re-enrol for the Middle School. Please note, from the conclusion of Term 2 2022, no places will be available in Year 6 in our Junior School as numbers transitioning through to the Middle School will have been confirmed and finalised

Once a Year Level reaches capacity then the College may offer the option to join a waiting pool to be kept informed if spaces become available. There can be movement of places as some families situations change. If you are considering any of the Year Levels mentioned above as at capacity, we encourage you to contact a member of the enrolment team to discuss your options before completing an application for enrolment.

Admission decisions will fully support the values of Scots College and are made at the discretion of the Principal or Headmaster. When making offers of a place, Scots College may take into consideration the applicant’s affiliation with the College, but are not limited to siblings of current or past students, students whose parents or grandparents attended the College, former students, date of application, international students, boarding students and those who are re-enrolling.
