Future Focussed Learning
A Future Focussed Education
In the future students will face increasing globalisation and careers greatly affected by technological change. Scots is making changes to our Senior School to further improve student results better preparing them for life after school.
The changes are:
- A review of NCEA Level 1 with the intention to reduce the amount of assessment and the number of credits offered from 2019.
- In the following year (2020), we will welcome girls to the Senior School, beginning with 30 in Year 11 and 30 in Year 12.
- As part of enhancing the educational experience at Scots, the Board has also approved a programme of campus developments and improvements over the next five years.
The College has a proud 100 year history in education and this is an exciting new chapter for us. We have never been afraid to embrace change to ensure we prepare students for their futures and deliver a personalised and holistic education.
This section of our website provides more information on these changes and we welcome any further enquiries. If you would like to discuss these further we invite you to join Headmaster Graeme Yule and a Board representative at one of the below parent information evenings where there will be an opportunity to discuss these changes further or contact the Headmaster directly at email@example.com
