Claire was educated at New Plymouth Girls’ High School and Canterbury University. Her Bachelor of Arts is in Art History, English and History.
She has been at Scots since 2010 and is Dean of Glasgow House and Learning Area co-ordinator of the Arts. She teaches Art History and English. Previously Claire was Director of Leadership and wrote the College’s Leadership and Learning for Life courses. She also established the Launching Leaders Conference and managed the first three of these events. Claire was the producer of The Jungle Book, Aladdin and Fame and is looking forward to this year’s production, You’re History. Previously Claire taught for twenty two years at New Plymouth Girls’ High School where she was Dean of Years 9 and 13, Head of Health and the director of three National title winning Stage Challenges. She won the National Excellence in Teaching award in 1998. Claire loves teaching and the Scots College emphasis on ‘Building the all-round man’.
Claire has two adult daughters and is married to Scots colleague, Geoff. She loves food and wine, reading and the arts.
Mathew (Matt) Jarry

Matt is the HoD Art and joined Plimmer House as their dean in 2016. Before Scots, Matt worked for 7 years at Wellington College teaching a variety of courses including Art History, Media Studies, Technology and English. Matt originally comes from Vancouver Island, Canada.
Matt has done a variety of education-related endeavours in Aotearoa including curriculum development with NZQA, consultation work with the NZ Transport Authority, work with Te Kete Ipurangi (an NZ on-line teaching resource), art workshops with Te Papa, and co-chairing of the Wellington Art Teachers’ Association.
A father of 3 (Matteo, Odette, and Ira) doesn’t leave Matt much free time, but when his wife lets him, he can be found hunting down the occasional wave at Lyall Bay or getting out for a run.

Hannah McGee has been employed at Scots College as a Teacher of Art since July 2015 and since the start of 2016 has been the Student Activities Co-ordinator and the Chair of the Staff Association.
Originally from Wellington, having attended Samuel Marsden Collegiate School as a student and before leaving to live in Melbourne, Australia for four years where she also taught Art, she taught at Queen Margaret College.
Hannah gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, majoring in Film, before training as a secondary school Visual Art and Technology teacher.
Hannah currently teaches through all year levels at the school, Level 3/Year 13 Photography, Level 1/Year 11 Art, MYP Art and spends time each term with Prep classes working with the Prep classroom teachers delivering specialist art classes.
She likes to keep active having played hockey, netball and touch rugby and since her return to Wellington has been going to CrossFit. Hannah enjoys watching movies and visiting as many art galleries as possible, preferably galleries around the world. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
