University of Otago GO2OU Award: If you are considering going to Otago University and looking to study Humanities you can win one of 10 fully funded trips to Dunedin to check it out from the 2nd – 4th August – these awards are for students in the Wellington region only. All information you need to know about this is here. University of Waikato are coming to talk to Year 13 students on Tuesday 1st June at 1.15pm in LSLT.
University of Canterbury are coming to talk to Year 13 students about scholarship applications dos and don’ts Thursday 1st July at 1.15pm in LSLT.

Open days are a great way for students and their parents/caregivers to explore study options and see what student life could be like at university.
University of Otago open day was on Monday this week. They are also hosting a virtual online open day on Thursday 29th July, keep an eye out on their website to register.
University of Waikato Hamilton campus was last week, Tauranga campus Friday 28th May, register here.
University of Auckland online open day, Tuesday 29th June 6pm – 8.30pm, register here.

Future Pathways Coordinator
Imogen Neil joined us this term as the new Future Pathways Coordinator here at Scots College.
She has recently moved to Wellington from Hamilton, where she was a Talent Acquisition Advisor at Beca, leading their Graduate and Internship recruitment across Australia and New Zealand. Previous to this Imogen worked for Swivel Careers, implementing and facilitating programmes in high schools to better assist students in making more informed decisions about their futures and preparing them for life after school.
“I am passionate about helping young adults and am looking forward to working with you and your children. I will be working with students from Year 7 through to Year 13.”
