Students Help to Restore Service Personnel Graves
On Saturday 23rd April, different groups of students took part in the Restore to Remember campaign, a joint initiative organised by the Student Volunteer Army and the NZ Remembrance Army. This involved cleaning headstones and graves of service personnel and their families. Different groups took part in Karori, Makara and Taita. In Taita, the students helped clear around the graves of service personnel who were swept away by the Influenza Pandemic of 1918. The involvement of Scots students was driven by Adwik Ghosh and the Service Committee. The Taita effort was coordinated by Head Prefect, Nela Tajrychova.
Ahead of Anzac Day 2022, it was great to see so many students giving up their Saturday mornings to give back to the wider community.
