• Middle School Scholarship Regulations and Conditions

• Parents and or Guardians are required to please read and complete the requirements outlined below and agree to abide by them.*
  • The fee for the scholarship application is one payment of $25.00 per candidate not per scholarship.
  • All short listed applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Principal of the Middle School.
  • The tenure of the scholarship is closely monitored, with a full review at the end of each academic year. Provided the Principal of the Middle School is able to give a satisfactory report to the Headmaster and Board at regular intervals of the character, diligence and progress of the scholar. In addition the scholarship recipient is expected to contribute positively to all Scots College activities and events. Should a student not commit wholeheartedly to their studies and/or College wide commitments the scholarship may be reviewed or withdrawn.
  • In the case of an unsatisfactory report the scholarship may be withdrawn. In the case of ongoing unsatisfactory performance and/or commitment the scholarship may be withdrawn.
  • The value of the scholarship is a proportion of the tuition fee.
  • The Board reserves the right not to award any particular scholarship and/or to reallocate funding to another scholarship.
  • Scots College is a Presbyterian Church School and a successful candidate is expected to participate fully and willingly in the Christian aspect of its curriculum.
  • The decision of the Middle School Principal is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • All Academic Scholarship applicants are required to attend a scholarship examination day at the College. The subjects for the examination are Logic/reasoning, comprehension and processing, creative writing and critical analysis. The scholarship examination will be overseen and monitored by the Principal of the Middle School, and the results and his recommendations reported to the Headmaster and Board. The examination scripts and the marks awarded will be the property of Scots College. Marks will not be forwarded to the candidates.
  • On receipt of the application form, the applicant’s current Principal may be asked to provide a confidential report to the Principal of Scots College Middle School.
  • The tenure of each individual scholarship will be clearly outlined within the scholarship offer.
