Senior School Scholarship Applications

Applications for 2023 Scots College Senior School Scholarships close Friday 3 June.

Important Information

At the closing of applications and once applications have been reviewed, students will be shortlisted and may be invited for an interview with the Senior School Principal (all applicants will be informed of the decision regarding the scholarship at a later date).

The value of the scholarships is a proportion of the tuition fee. The tenure of the scholarship is closely monitored, with a review at the end of each academic year. Should a student not be meeting their obligations, the scholarship could be withdrawn. 

The Board reserves the right not to award any or all of the scholarships offered.

A one off payment of $25 is required to complete your scholarship application. This is per candidate not per scholarship.

External Applications: All external applications are required to complete an enrolment application as part of their scholarship application through the form accessed below. Should your scholarship application not be successful you will have the option to continue or withdraw your application for enrolment.

Scholarship Criteria

Before applying please carefully read all scholarship criteria below

Academic Scholarship
An Academic Scholarship may be awarded to an external or current student entering Years 11-13 in 2023, who displays outstanding academic aptitude and ability. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity for talented academics to study in an environment that encourages and supports their passions and aspirations. Students must have the ability to contribute to the wider College life through their involvement and commitment to academia, service and leadership. The value of the scholarships is a proportion of the tuition fee for one to three years (depending on year entry level).

Ariadne Danilow Language Scholarship
An Ariadne Danilow Language scholarship may be awarded to a student currently at the College and entering Years 11-13 in 2023 who intends to continue to study language in 2023. The value of the scholarship is a proportion of the tuition fee for one to two years (depending on year entry level).

Boarding Scholarship
A Boarding Scholarship may be awarded to an external student entering Years 11-13 in 2023. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity for students to live in a supportive and caring environment whilst working hard to achieve their goals in the fields of academia, sport and culture. Students must have the ability and willingness to contribute significantly to the life of Gibb House as well as the wider College. The value of the scholarships is a proportion of the tuition fee for one to three years (depending on year entry level).

General Excellence Scholarship
A General Excellence Scholarship may be awarded to an external or current student entering Years 11-13 in 2023, who has the ability to contribute to College life in one of the following areas – academic, spiritual, cultural, sporting, service/leadership. The value of the scholarships is a proportion of the tuition fee for one to three years (depending on year entry level).

International Baccalaureate Scholarship
An International Baccalaureate Scholarship may be awarded to an external or current student entering Year 12 in 2023. This scholarship is provided to support a student who wishes to complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma, and who displays all-round excellence in academic, sport and/or cultural fields. The value of the scholarship is a proportion of the tuition fee for two years.

Music Scholarship
A Music Scholarship may be awarded to an external or current student entering Years 11-13 in 2023, who displays outstanding musical ability. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity for talented musicians to study in an environment that encourages and supports their passion and talent to perform in, contribute to, and excel in the field of music. Students must have the ability to contribute to the wider College life through their involvement and commitment to academia, service and leadership. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an audition before scholarship offers are made. The value of the scholarships is a proportion of the tuition fee for one to three years (depending on year entry level).

Pipe Band Scholarship
A Pipe Band Scholarship may be awarded to an external or current student entering Years 11-13 in 2023. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity for talented pipers or drummers to study in an environment that encourages and supports their passion and talent to perform in and contribute to the College’s Pipe Band. Students must have the ability to contribute to the wider College life through their involvement and commitment to academia, service and leadership. Scots Collegians Scholarship
A Scots College Collegians Scholarship may be awarded to an internal or external candidate who is a good all round student. Preference is given to the child of a Scots Collegian (former student). The value of the scholarships is a proportion of the tuition fee and programme fees for one to three years (depending on year entry level).

Tottenham Hotspur Elite Player Development Programme Scholarship
A Tottenham Hotspur Elite Player Development Programme (THEPDP) Scholarship may be awarded to an external or current student entering Years 11 or 12 in 2023. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity for talented football players to study and develop their skills in an environment that encourages and supports their talents. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend a trial and be selected by the Tottenham Hotspur coaches before scholarship offers are made. Details of this will be communicated with shortlisted candidates. The value of the scholarships is a proportion of the tuition fee only for one to three years (depending on year entry level). Any scholarships offered do not cover the THEPDP fees and associated costs.
