Specialist Classrooms
Flexible Learning Environments
A selection of Flexible Learning Environments are available around the College. These spaces help facilitate collaboration and project based learning. They provide teachers and students with areas to learn in large and small groups, collaborate and break away for independent study.
The largest of these is ‘The Hub’ that transforms into the senior common room outside of class time. During class time students have small booths for individual study and a range of work spaces to choose from.

Technology Studio
The Technology Suite is a practical workshop environment where students work at their own pace and develop self-discipline as they complete projects. ‘Learning by doing’, ‘trial and error’ and making prototypes are strongly encouraged.
Through the facilities in the Technology Suite, a number of students have helped build items for school activities, including the school production, Scots Gala, science fairs and personal hobbies!
Science Block
The Science Wing was officially opened by Nobel Laureate, Sir Paul Nurse on 4 August 2006. Each of the four Laboratories are 100sqm with dedicated wet and dry areas. Bright and practical spaces have been acoustically engineered to minimise noise.
Supported by prep and store rooms these laboratories are both innovative enough to inspire yet practical and robust to encourage independent learning for students of all ages.

Lesley Shelly Lecture Theatre
The Lesley Shelly Lecture Theatre is spacious conference room that can comfortably seat 112.
It has a built-in sound system, LCD projector and whiteboard.
Creative and Performing Arts Centre
The Creative and Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) is a modern facility opened in 2012. It houses Pipe band practice spaces, a state of the art recording studio, leading facilities for art, music and graphics and the Middle School administration area.
We are grateful to Sir Richard Taylor for his expert advice while developing this centre to ensure it is a world leader in the creative and performing arts.
