Named after Charles Plimmer and four of his grandsons whom he sent to Scots in 1916, the first year of the College.
- Four grandchildren of early settler and ‘father of Wellington’, John Plimmer, were enrolled by him at Scots College as boarders all on the same day, in 1916.
- These four boys had a lasting effect on the College. Maxwell Plimmer became a staunch member of the Scots College Old Boys’ Association (1922-1949) and held the positions of Treasurer, Secretary and President during that time.
