Screenagers Documentary + Q&A
Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
The Scots College Parents’ Association are proud to host a screening and Q&A of documentary Screenagers.
In SCREENAGERS, as with her award-winning documentaries on mental health, Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists.
The Q&A Panel:
Jo Healey: Current Parent, Board member and General Manager, Global Technology Services, IBM NZ
Marc Wilson: Professor of Psychology at Victoria University and Scots Old Boy
Ben Egerton: Postgraduate facilitator at the Mind Lab
Join the SCPA, Scots College staff and other fellow parents at this screening hosted by the Scots College Parents’ Association. The Q&A will follow immediately after the documentary with Scots staff and experts in the technology fields. Anyone is welcome, you do not need to be a Scots parent.
