Coming to see the Rugby World Cup in Wellington at the begining of October?

SCOBA has organised a cocktail party at the Wellington Club on Friday 30 September.
All Old Boys are warmly urged to come along and enjoy some fellowship and conviviality among old school friends at the Old Boys’ Cocktail Party.
We have also turned on a Guest Speaker - Old Boy Hamish Edwards (1983-1990), who co-founded the hot accounting software company Xero Limited.

About Hamish Edwards
Hamish Edwards is co-founder Xero Limited which provides SME accounting software and was listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange in June 2007. He is a director of the company and assists with the global strategic direction, the Accountant channel strategy and core accounting functions of the application. Hamish spends most of his time presenting and talking to Accountants about how to implement online strategies.
Formerly Hamish was the CFO of Xero and took the company through its IPO. Hamish then went on to established Xero in the UK where he was responsible for banking relationships, various partnerships, direct sales and the accounting industry.
Hamish is a Chartered Accountant and before Xero he was the CEO of one ofNew Zealand's fastest growing chartered accounting and consulting firms, Openside. Openside was acquired by Deloitte in January 2011.
More recently Hamish has taken on direct investment and board appointments of three NZ companies with exporting ambitions.
Hamish is a SME expert and has been featured in or written for Real FD, Accountancy Age, Accounting Web, the NZICA Journal, the Fairfax Group, the National Business Review, M2 Magazine and various other publications.
Hamish completed his BCom at Otago University in 1994, including a double major in Accounting and Marketing. Hamish had the privilege to attend Scot College in Wellington for his secondary education.
Hamish lives in Greytown with his wife Tineke and his three children Jack, Harry and Emma.
