Meet and Greet Functions for Old Boys and Prospective Parents

Successful Old Boys’ functions and Information Evenings have been held over the past month in the Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North and Masterton.   A fourth function will be held this Friday 21 May for Kapiti Coast Old Boys and prospective parents.

These provided an excellent opportunity for Old Boys to meet up again with each other and to meet up with the Headmaster, Graeme Yule.  Members of the SCOBA Executive, Francis Wevers and Murray Radford, were on hand in Masterton and Palmerston North to talk about the development of the Association and its plans for the future. Many of the Old Boys had not been back to the College since they left school.

The audience showed a keen interest in what has been happening at the college.  The Headmaster spoke of the exciting developments planned currently for the College, in particular a new leading edge Creative and Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) which will be completed by Term 1 2012, and a Covered Sports Centre (CSC) due to be commenced in November this year.

He told the audience the CPAC will provide the opportunity for the College to significantly expand the potential within the specialist areas of the performing arts, creative arts and technologies, while the CSC will elevate the sporting potential for Scots in providing a world class sporting facility.

The College extends a warm invitation to all Old Boys and friends of Scots to visit the College should they ever be in Wellington.

Feedback from these functions has been very positive, and they will be ongoing.
