Scots College – Learning. For Life.

Religious Education is an integral part of the special character of the College and the learning experiences of our students. As a Presbyterian College we are committed to providing a curriculum which is grounded in Christian faith and teaching. During their years at Scots students examine Christian faith and life, as well as gaining an understanding of other world views.

 All students attend religious education classes during their Preparatory School years. This continues in Secondary School to year 12 for students doing the NCEA option. IB Diploma students end RE in year 11. The programme is delivered by a team of three teachers who work across all year groups.

 The spiritual dimension to life at Scots College is the responsibility of our Chaplain, the Reverend Robin Palmer. He oversees Chapel worship and Religious Education. He also is responsible for the work of the Pastoral Care Committee.
