Preparatory

In any primary or preparatory school, parents will want assurance the school community will work with them as a team in nurturing the spirit, intellect, talents and energy of their sons. Parents will also want assurance that the school's values align with their own. When this is aligned the partnership of parent and teacher has huge potential for helping develop a student's well-being and success.

This is achieved by developing the whole person through focusing on four dimensions: their academic, cultural, sporting and, being a Presbyterian-based school, their spiritual development. But there is also a key function of a boys’ primary education, and that is allowing boys to be boys.

Scots College is an IB World School guided by three fundamental concepts: holistic learning, intercultural awareness and communication that reinforce our students’ current and future role in life from a global perspective. Our purpose is educating boys to prepare them to be life long learners with values of citizenship that will enable them to participate in, and influence the ever-changing society in which they will live.
