Thus there were 3 houses firmly in the running for Scots College outright team Champion House (SCOTCH shield with ornamental bottle)
So round 4:
Aitken vs Smith - one of the highlights of the year is Aitken vs Smith in anything. On the field it's impossible to tell them apart (or is that Smith/Uttley?) but it's even harder when they're all in the same uniform. Rekatsinas somehow managed to scrape a stalemate from a totally lost position. Eddie Lo WON, YES HE DID, HE WON HE WON HE TOTALLY WON, and then was reminded there are other games continuing. Aitken 1.5 Smith 0.5
Plimmer vs Uttley - A contentious match up as both teams are trying desparately to avoid relegation. Abhinav Bhasin vs Tim Rowe was an epic of Karpovian dimensions and was subject to an adjudicator's ruling (and a stern telling off for the adjudicator). With material even, Bhasin had an unmissable 2-move checkmate over Rowe so the game was called for Uttley. Plimmer 1 Uttley 1
Mawson vs MacKenzie - New school vs old school champs. Rookie Ryan Wyatt faced the vicious Dan Rumbal. Rumbal made Wyatt move a touched piece which enraged Wyatt sufficiently that he demolished Dan in about another 10 moves. The end of an era? Cross for Mackenzie on the other board showed some of his older siblings skill in a well crafted attack up the right. Mac 1 Maw 1
Fergusson vs Glasgow - At one point it looked like Michael Lin may have a serious assault on school champ Wei Shian Chen, however Chen swapped all the major pieces and turned his two extra pawns into a win. Wei Kai just smashed his opponent. The Chens are currently untouchable. Are we doing house re-allocations for next year?
So at the end of round 4.

Can Fergusson hold the momentum? What will OPC mean for week 6, it could be anybodys round? Are Aitken really even with Mawson?
