This presentation will help you understand your kids, show you how to use technology positively and some tips on how to be vigilant about the hazards.   ‘Connected’ helps parents launch confident kids into the future, equipped not just with the gadgets but with great software in their heads.

This evening presentation will be one hour & 30 minutes in length and will feature John Cowan (Senior Presenter) and Dave Atkinson (Senior Presenter for Attitude).  The evening is free to all parents at the school and wider community.

Background: My mum and Dad had 2 boys, and wanted a girl. They tried one last time and had me and my twin bro Andy (= 4 boys). Sorry mum.

After growing up on the mean streets of Takapuna, Auckland (“North Side”) I headed to Christchurch for 4 years to study Design. However, the lure of pollution and traffic jams was too much, so I headed back to Auckland and got my dream job…but that didn’t work out so I had to settle for Attitude.

Things I like: People, lollies, and encouraging feedback

Things I don’t like: Speling, tomatows, and speling ‘tomatows’.

Most embarrassing story: To impress my friends when I was snowboarding I decided I was going to do a 40ft jump. I cleared the jump, by about 20ft, and landed straight on my bum. Due to the shock, I temporarily lost complete control of my bowels. (I never told my friends, but somehow I think they know…)
