Nicholas Pointon bags silver at Cross Country Championships
Nicholas Pointon (Year 9) continues to cement his growing reputation in his chosen sport of athletics by winning a silver medal at the New Zealand Cross Country Championships held in Waikanae on Saturday.
Competing in the Boys 14 and Under grade, Pointon finished strongly just failing to overtake the winner at the line.
In the Men 16 and Under grade, Kieron McDonald placed 8th and Alex Smaill 15th.
Finn Roy finished 39th in the Men 19 and Under grade.
Staff member Ms Gabrielle O'Rourke won another New Zealand title, winning the Masters Women grade.
