2012 NZSS Cross Country Championships Report
It was a promising result in Auckland with an individual 4th, and two 10th places; plus a bronze teams medal for Under 16.
Our Year 9 boys will have gained valuable experience from the level of competition. The talented Under 16 team was rewarded for many months hard work and preparation, and can look forward to more success in the near future.
The senior team were unlucky for the second year in succession to miss out on a teams medal by a few points. However, this is an event where you are severely punished for any small error in judgement or decision making during the races. The sheer numbers and level of performances does not allow second chances.
The College can be justly proud of the efforts and behaviour of the students that travelled to Auckland. Well done to all!
