Move Basketball Holiday Skills Camp – Junior
The Junior Skills Basketball camp is an opportunity for beginner to competitive basketball players to learn the fundamental skills of basketball and compete in a positive team environment. Our focus is on providing a fun, challenging and educational basketball experience over the July holidays to give players the best opportunity to develop for the second half of the 2019 competitive basketball season.
The coaching staff will be led by Head Coach, Troy Mclean and the camp will have specialists and guest coaches who will contribute to the camp experience.
The camp will focus on fundamental skills and concepts that are essential to building a strong base. The fundamental skills and concepts we will focus on are:
- Shooting – Technique
- Pass and cut/screen
- Pick and roll fundamentals
- Defensive stance and positioning
- 1 on 1 game play
- Team defensive principles
- Ball handling and Passing
Each student athlete will be provided with a feedback sheet that will help them understand the strengths and weaknesses in their skill sets. This will help them grow and take control of their own skills development.
July 11 and 12.
2 days. 0900-1500
Thursday and Friday.
The camps will be held at the Scots College gymnasium.
The morning session starts at 09:00 to 12:00.
Lunch starts at 12:00 and finishes at 13:00.
The afternoon session will be from 13:00 – 15:00.
A recovery food pack is provided after the afternoon
13-14 years old.
$120 for 2 days or $60 per day.
