Year 12 Diploma students:
I trust you are studying well now in preparation for the practice examinations starting next Monday (30th November). These examinations provide an important check of progress as you near the end of the first year of your Diploma studies. It is important that you are punctual, and meet as a group in the foyer of the LSLT 15 minutes prior to the start of the examinations. You will need to make alternative arrangements for travel home if any afternoon examination runs past 3:30pm.
The assessment calendar link here and above shows key hand in dates for all non-examination components through to the end of September 2018. This calendar is a key document that aims to map out your workflow over the second half of your Diploma studies. Just keep to handing in your tasks on time!
The Extended Essay is launched this Friday, with Mr McKnight leading this. The starting point is thinking about subject of choice – so that is something good to be thinking about….
Year 13 Diploma:
Well the last lessons have been wrapped up, and as a staff we are all wishing you the very best for life after school – just the small matter of some examinations to finish first!
Morning examinations start at 9:00 am, and the afternoon session will run from 2:00pm. It is essential that you arrive 15 minutes before and meet in the foyer of the LSLT as there is a reasonable amount of set-up required for each examination. Study well.
