Prep School Cross Country Championships
Dear Parents
Parents will be aware that the boys have been training at School, and hopefully at home as well, for the Prep School Cross Country Championships. These will take place on Thursday 19 May beginning at 1.30 pm. It is always a great occasion, with races held at all levels. The races will produce champions for each year group, as well as generating overall House placings.
After completion of all the events boys will return to their homerooms. Once they have changed and gathered homework, boys will be able to go home with their parents if they are present. No boy is to be taken home by any other parent, unless prior notification to the school is received in writing. This is to be handed to the classroom teacher.
| Welcome | 1.20pm | |
| Years 1, 2 & 3 | 1 outer lap and 1 inner | 1.30pm |
| Years 4 & 5 | 2 outer laps and 1 inner | 1.45pm |
| Year 6 (Colts) | 2 outer laps and 1 inner | 2.00pm |
| Year 7 (Junior) | 3 outer laps and 1 inner | 2.15pm |
| Year 8 (Senior) | 3 outer laps and 1 inner | 2.30pm |
Dress
Boys will come to School in School uniform and change into their PE uniform (House top, black PE shorts, running shoes and white socks) with full track suit over the top.
Parking
Regrettably, cars are unable to be parked in the College grounds. At such occasions there is no parking at the lower level, to ensure freedom of movement on the fields for both runners and spectators. Parking in Monorgan Road is also awkward. Our suggestion is that cars be parked in Broadway or in the streets just to the north of Broadway, in South Miramar.
It is hoped that parents will not ask for their sons to be excused, as every participant will automatically generate points for his respective House. Any absence requests should be made in writing directly to Mr Alistair Hamilton.
Cancellation or postponement of this event is very unlikely, although should this be necessary, the Prep School Sports Line: 380-7588 (after 8:30 am) will have a message on it.
We look forward to your continued support on the day.
Kind regards
Alistair Hamilton
