Assessment in the Diploma Programme
- Grading system: from 1 to 7; 7 being the highest. Full explanation of IB grades is available in the IBO website: how to interpret IB grades and transcripts.
- Written exam for each subject at the end of the two year programme (View the November 2011 Examination Schedule (29KB))
- Internal assessment during the two years counts 20-30 % towards the final grade for each subject
- Bonus points for EE and TOK (37KB): up to 3 bonus points are awarded for outstanding Extended Essay and/or Theory of Knowledge Essay (link to EE and TOK bonus point matrix, please use attached pdf)
- Passing criteria, the short version:
- Minimum of 24 points
- No subject with grade 1
- No HL subject with grade 2
- Total of the three HL subjects: minimum 12 points
- Total of the three SL subjects: minimum 9
