Outlook Web Access
Outlook Web Access (OWA) enables you to access your emails using a browser interface. It is highly recommended that you use Internet Explorer version 6 and above to get the full functionalities of OWA.
In the College
- Type https://webmail.scotscollege.school.nz/owa on your browser's address field. Bookmark this link for easy access.
- If you encounter a security certificate problem message, click on "continue to this website". You will then be authenticated and the Outlook screen will be shown.
- Enter your username and password in the prompt. The username should precede with scotscollege\. In the case of John Doe, for example, he will type scotscollege\doej in the username field. For the password, use the same one for connecting to the network, not the FirstClass password.
- Outlook Web Access will then open.
- When you are done, log-off and close the browser.
- If you are a first-time user, you will see the Language and Time Zone option (see screenshot below). Click OK for the system to accept your choices. You will only do this once.
Outside the College
Outside the school, the link becomes https://webmail.scotscollege.school.nz/owa. Bookmark this address for easy access.
First time users will see the localisation screen:

Choose your options from the drop-down menu, then click OK to accept. You will only see this screen once. Subsequent access will lead you to the login prompt as shown below.
For the password, use the same one for connecting to the network at Scots College, not the FirstClass password. Also, you no longer need to append scotscollege\ next to your username.
Choose whether the computer you are using is public or private, then enter your username and password.
Choose the Outlook Web Access Light option when you have a slow internet connection; the Light option will give you the basic necessities in reading and sending emails and using other services. Note: option is available in Internet Explorer only, other browsers will automatically lead you to the Light Option.

Website Link
For your convenience, a link to Webmail has been added in the copyright line of the College website.

Other notes
The first time that you open your emails, you will notice that everything is marked unread. This is because the system has just received these emails and are therefore treating these as new items. To make everything unread, simply right-click on a folder (or your inbox) then choose "mark all as read". You can also select a number of emails and "mark as unread".

When you are done, log-off and close the browser.
